Example 2 (Favourite Team B win): Decimal 1.50 = fractional 1/2 = American −200. A negative American odds figure means you need to stake 200 to win 100 profit. On a ৳200 bet the return is ৳300 (৳100 profit).
Decimal odds are the easiest because multiplying the stake directly gives the total return. Team A and Team B are hypothetical examples and do not represent any real team.
Multi bet and cricket match winner example
In a limited-overs cricket match (T20 or ODI) there is no draw, so the match winner market has only two outcomes. Say Team A is at decimal odds of 1.65 and Team B at 2.30. A ৳1,000 bet on Team B returns ৳2,300 if Team B wins (৳1,300 profit); if Team A wins, the full ৳1,000 is lost.
The power and risk of a multi bet: Say you add three selections from three separate matches — decimal odds of 1.70, 1.80 and 1.90. Multiplying them together gives a combined odds of 1.70 × 1.80 × 1.90 = 5.81 (approximately). A ৳100 bet returns ৳581 if all three are correct. But if even one selection is wrong, the entire ৳100 is lost. A multi bet offers higher returns but carries much higher risk.
